New Website
Find out all about my new photographic venture and how to book me for a promo shoot or a Family Portrait sitting just check out my brand new site at adamreadingMy blogging came to a grinding halt last July. I got married at the start of July, and lost my father shortly after returning from the Honeymoon, and somehow also lost the art of keeping my blog updated in the process.
It’s a shame really as I’ve shot some fantastic bands, grown my photography by adding equipment and skills for portraits and promo work and a new website (www.adamreading.com), so I have decided to start writing again, and begin by trying to catch up on 8 months of action! (no small task)
So in September I got to see the fantastic Serj Tankian at The O2 Academy Oxford, I didn’t have a pass so photos were taken with the Canon G9 I bought for the honeymoon. (I decided not to bore you with my wedding or honeymoon shots!)
He didn’t disappoint!
During the rest of September I had White Sunday:
The Noyze:
MrBlindPig himself:
SKG:
and finally Obiat (at The Rising Sun)
The Next installment when I get to it will be September’s awesome offerings….
Until then, don’t forget – my new website is at www.adamreading.com and you can book me for Family Portraits, Individual and Couple shots, location shots, shots in my studio, shots in your home, Live Band, Promo Shoots and just about any other people photography you fancy…
Hey there! – I’ve launched a brand new website for my photography at http://www.adamreading.com- you can book me for Family Portraits, Music Promo and Live Shots there!!!
Here’s june in a new slide show format – let me know what you think of the different perspective…
Gutted by Hello Wembleys demise, what a damn shame!

As some of you will know, I’ve slowed down on the Photo taking/Gigs in the last few weeks in the run to my my Wedding in July. But the bug is still very much there for me, and when I was asked to take photos of The Purple Project at their Newbury Corn Exchange Gig, I was honored! I’d taken pics of Lead Singer Paul Wrightson’s band Iron Heart 20 years ago at the Rivermead when I was still finishing college – and it was great to see how he’s become such a fantastic presence on stage. It was a brilliant night – and I’m sure everyone who was there went away with a big smile on their faces.
Also great was Black and White Music’s event at the Plug N Play on the Sunday night – a great mix of bands, all playing their hearts out but to the usual Reading apathy of a turnout. I really want to understand why no one can be bothered to out and support our local music scene – the tickets are priced fairly, the bands were awesome, the effort made by all was huge – except Reading’s “couch potato” music fans. Be careful you don’t lose your music scene completely through atrophy. Anyway – All Sunday’s bands blew me away – even if Alex from Hello Wembley was determined to scare what audience there was away..
So here’s all my favourite shots – with the rest at http://www.flickr.com/photos/adamreading

The Quotes
Pretty much as usual I’m putting gigs at the front of my to do list each week, and everything else seems to suffer as a result. However I went to two blinding Gigs last week. Black & White Music Promotion’s Wednesday night at Plug N play presenting The Vice and Underground Hereos with support from The Tricoteurs. And Sid of Club Velocity’s Saturday Night extravaganza also at Plug N Play with OK Tokyo Headlining and support from Bad Robots, Kicks and Sixty Watt Bayonets (who are so fab you’ll be singing along within minutes).
So here is my photographic evidence of a great couple of nights had by all.

Firstly, I had an unexpected but excellent evening at Basingstoke’s Light Lounge on Saturday night courtesy of Lozza from 100% Reading . Pics are up with the rest at www.flickr.com/photos/adamreading.
To be totally honest, I had only heard the name dan le sac and Scroobius Pip bandied around. It seems “Thou Shalt Always Kill” was in my sub-consious from last year too, though I hadn’t known who made it. When BBC Berkshire’s Linda Serck asked me to go shoot these guys, I was excited photographically, but unsure musically.
I have to say I am a total convert 100%! The whole night from Joshua Idehen’s inciteful “Cupid” (MC’ing the night and representing www.myspace.com/apoeminbetweenpeople with style and flair, to the bouncy and brilliant Producers With Computers – www.myspace.com/producerswithcomputers, the strangely lovable Gideon Conn – www.myspace.com/gideonconn eclectic but deceivingly innocent, and climaxing with these two who reminded me of “The odd couple”. www.myspace.com/lesacvspip will tell their tale better than I, but I was moved, shaken and definately stirred during this set. if you ever get the chance to catch them live (Try tonight at Oxford if you can) DO IT! dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip with the aid of a drunken prat who took to the stage with them to the amusement and tolerence of all, though we did laugh when he fell flat on his face off the stage. (I’d just put my camera away so I could get up there and escort him off before he destroyed the set and the evening, when he dived off himself).
Anyway, you can see how impressed I was by the very fact that this is probably my wordiest blog in ages!!
So, to the photos. Enjoy and as always, don’t forget to credit me if you use any.

So firstly a big thanks to Linda Serck at BBC Berkshire/Reading Post for using my pics. It’s a huge buzz seeing them used at last!!
Here’s BBC Berkshire’s main home page during some of last week – with The Noyze featuring from the 100% Reading gig.
I had been looking forward to seeing the 6NS boys play again for ages, and they didn’t let me down.
6NS were on top form and the place was rammed to the gunnels, lots of familiar band faces out to support the scene as usual. Full Force Gales started with their first ever gig (as full force – you’ll recognise all the members as part of Heartware Process – lol.)
